Tiny Roots Child Care — A Home Where Children Can Grow
Operated by Brooke Garvey
At Tiny Roots, I offer a cozy, nature-inspired child care program that nurtures children’s growth from the ground up. I care for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years, providing flexible full-time, part-time, and drop-in options in a welcoming, home-like setting.
My mixed-age environment encourages peer learning, empathy, and a strong sense of community. I believe in hands-on, play-based learning and strive to create a space rooted in:
- Respect and kindness for all children and families
- Learning through play, nature exploration, and discovery
- Music and movement to support growth and creativity
- A safe, consistent environment children can count on
- Genuine partnerships with parents and the wider community

About Me
Hi, I’m Brooke Garvey, the founder and caregiver behind Tiny Roots. I’m originally from Rochester, MN, and I’ve been living in the Mankato area since finishing high school. Caring for children and building strong connections with families has always been a passion of mine.
I’m also a proud mom to a fun and energetic 2-year-old, and I’m expecting another little one soon! When I’m not with the children, you can find me spending time on our small farm, making memories with friends and family, being outside, or getting creative. I love finding joy in life’s simple moments.
